A little bit of home

One of the things I miss the most about New York is home-cooked food — it’s less the food and more of the love and care that’s put into the meal.

I got a lovely home-cooked meal from Ben and Dan’s mom, who’s from Shanghai. I’d mentioned that I love Shanghainese stir-fried rice cakes, and she brought them in the next time she came in to work at the bakery. Cue the 🥹🥰😭
